When you’re in your twenties, you usually have a lot of people pressuring you to take the safe route in life. Everyone wants to tell you to go to college, then graduate school, and afterwards get a job, which you will probably hate, but that you will tell everyone, for appearances sake that you love. In short, by the time you start thinking for yourself, you will be in your thirties, likely married and with a kid, by which point you will be stuck living the life, which everyone chose for you. For those who are young enough and still reading this, here is a good solution, why don’t you start your own business.
[post_ads]If you start your own business, you will learn many things over the span of two or three short months. You will also improve on things that you already know. For example, if you were previously shy, you will be a lot more comfortable dealing with other people. You will become a master at both verbal and nonverbal communication. You will also become an excellent problem solver because most people turn to the boss for help, rather than take the initiative to solve the problem themselves. You can’t do this since you are the boss. Another thing you will become very good at is saying no. No is an interesting word, people hate to say it, but it is the most important word in our vocabulary. It isn’t easy to confront someone, but by saying no, you are doing just that. Everyone has to learn how to do this, and some do this much earlier than others. In business, your time is so limited, you really need to pick and choose what you do very carefully.
In conclusion, by starting your own business during your twenties, you will grow up very quickly and will have a great head start on your success.
